Brief
Disaronno International brought Wilde Toast in to design and build Engine Gin’s bar at All Points East 2026, in Victoria Park, London, across several dates in August.
We had just developed Engine’s new global on-trade toolkit, and APE was its test at festival scale. The bar needed to read as Engine from across the park and stand out on a busy festival site.
Key objectives:
1. Bring the new Engine Gin toolkit to life in a live festival space
2. Create long distance brand recognition in the busy festival environment
3. Create a space that gives festival-goers a reason to stay
4. Hand over a plug and play bar to the festival bar team
Delivery
We started with the tin. It’s Engine’s most recognisable asset, so the whole bar was built around it.
A shipping container became the bar, with its outer shell taking its design cues straight from the Engine pack. The front of the bar carried the toolkit’s signature repeating print.
Out front, we reused existing barrels as tables, paired them with high-level seating and dressed the space with lemon trees. The menu took the toolkit’s industrial look and treated each drink like a street poster pasted on a wall.
We managed the production and install with the team at The Events Structure, and worked alongside AEG and LS Events on site.
